Financial Aid

A wide range of financial assistance is available to PACE Institute students who qualify. Interested students should make an appointment with the financial aid office. Student guides to financial aid also are available.

Grants

Students may be eligible for:

  • Pell Grant - up to $5550 per academic year for 2010-2011.
  • FSEOG Grant - up to $1000 each academic year.
  • PHEAA Grants - up to $4700.
  • PACE Scholarships

Low Interest Loans

Students may be eligible for:

  • Federal Direct Subsidized Loan - Loans for $3500 for the first academic year and $4500 for the second academic year
  • Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan - range from $2000 to $6000 per academic year.
  • Federal Direct PLUS Loan - low interest loans are available to qualified parents of dependent students. Interest is charged during all periods.

Federal Work Study

Students may be eligible to work at PACE Institute or in the community under the federal work study program.

Tax Benefits for Education

There are three possible tax credits available to help offset the costs of higher education by reducing the amount of your income tax. They are the American Opportunity credit, the Hope credit, and the Lifetime Learning credit. If eligible, you may receive a tax credit ranging from $0 to $2500.

Computer Expense

PACE Institute does not require that students purchase a computer. PACE Institute provides access to computers in our on site computer labs.
