PACE Institute was founded in 1977. In 1982, PACE Institute became a licensed private business school. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) accredited PACE Institute as the first business school in Berks County. In 1986, PACE Institute was the first private licensed school in Berks County to gain state approval to confer Specialized Associate Degrees.
